Despite the bustling businesses and the vast expanse of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor is far from a concrete jungle. In addition to the University run Botanical Gardens and the grassy sanctuary of the Diag, there are large areas of land dedicated to parks in the city limits. Many of these parks use the beauty of the Huron River to centerpiece their activities.
These activities can be as simple as taking a walk, run, or ride down through Ann Arbor's Gallup Park, canoeing or kayaking from Argo Park, or heading out to Buhr Park to do a little ice skating on the outdoor rink. Whatever the season, if you need to get outdoors, Ann Arbor's parks have something for you.
